Campus Master Plans are integral to higher education public policy, providing a framework for long-term planning that considers an institution's evolving needs and goals. These plans also offer transparency to the public and state government regarding the institution's future development. Mandated by THEC every decade, Master Plans address short, mid, and long-term considerations such as building and land use, open spaces, traffic flow, parking, and potential land acquisitions. Institutions, in accordance with THEC Policy 4.1.30B, have the flexibility to amend the Master Plan to align with the original objectives.
